2010 TYB Tournament

Another year gone... TYB has evolved again. What has changed? New venues were opened: Tussock, Pembroke and Chantelle. 2010 also saw the introduction of a points system, which created a more competitive atmosphere within the poker club. The final 2 players of each TYB social club game during the year, were credited 2 points for the winner and 1 point for the runner up. At the end of the year these points were totalled and the player the most points is to be crowned TYB Points Champion. This new addition to the group strengthen the players' individual game even more.

To add to the festive season, this years TYB tournament has a theme: Public Servants. As predicted it was another good turn out, everyone in attendance had fun and an endless night of laughter. Everyone came in their colorful attire but C-One and Lasi were voted best dress with their face paint and full-on camouflage gear. You really couldn't tell them from each other... hahaha

So to kick off the night, we started off with prize giving to highlight some TYB players. Last year's Champion, Eerr is given his 2009 TYB Champion T-shirt. C-One was awarded TYB 2010 Points Champion.

And so onto the Main Event: TYB Tournament 2010

Worst bluff of the night, Eerr AQ Vs T-Rex TT. Without hitting the flop, Eerr decides to push All In. With a brief pause, T-Rex thinks of a while, then calls. Both Fourth Street and Fifth Street didn't improve Eerr's poker hand and he becomes the first player out of the TYB Champion title

Players are eliminated one by one till only 3 remain on the final table. Milz, chip leader, offers a 3-way split. C-One and Tini accept, however the tournament continues to find a new champion. Not long after the results are in:
