TYB SC Game 30/07/11

Alcohol and poker don’t mix, but it does make for some interesting footage.
Paparazzi were on point to watch the Evil74 and Situation arm wrestle match. No this isn’t poker but this is TYB, so who knows what happens at our TYB SC Games.

C-One does his interpretation of Stallone’s Over The Top, BakerBoi on the side-line egging them both on and for some strange reason Situation takes off his T-shirt.

House Of Hain Tournament

It was a good turnout from the group to support one of our own. There was a mad rush at the end of registration to get some extra players in. So the game was slightly running behind schedule.

Once seated, I found my stride and felt comfortable in the early stages of the game. I manage to win a few pots early, slow and steady was the plan. Just to get a feel from some of the players and trying to get some tells from them when I’m not in the hand. Nothing beats running a good trap and then springing on the unexpected foe. By the first break I was sitting good with a decent chip stack. As players were being eliminated from the tournament, new players joined our table. I had to reassess the game plan again, as most of the players had some monster stacks compared to mine.

I folded a lot of a small pockets pairs if there were raises, and played more suited/ connectors. Sometimes I was hitting open-end straights and flush draws but the river card didn’t hit. Slow and steady managed to get me through till I hit a snag when it got down to the final 5 tables.

I pushed all in with AK with only one caller Chauun

Showdown:
Numbers AK vs Chauun KK

It was a rainbow flop and all low cards; the turn was a King, which pretty much left me dead. River was another low card.

That was the end of my run of the HOH Tournament, but a few of us decided to wait till the end cheering on some of our other TYB members.

C-One managed to get to the final table, he was very low on chips, but that didn’t deter him from giving up. He pushed when he needed to and he made it to the final three.

There were a few of C-One hands that was really more chance. C-One is on low blinds and calls big blind’s all-in.

Showdown:
C-One Q5 vs Unknown 25

Take two, this time C-One has a playable hand. Any pocket pair heads up is a good hand.

Showdown:
C-One 77 vs Unknown K9

It’s heads up and the final two players are; TYB’s own, C-One vs the player who ended by tournament run, Chauun. Chip stacks were pretty much even, but it didn’t take long till there was a distinct chip leader, Chauun
C-One is small blinds and pushes All-In. Chauun calls

Showdown:
C-One J9 suited vs Chauun A4

We had a good night and TYB were happy to support Lasi and the HOH family

TYB SC Game 17/07/11

The evenings are getting colder, but that won’t stop our SC games. Everyone is packed all nice and cosy to keep the warmth in. With fish and chips for dinner, there’s nothing better but some bad beats and strange calls to keep everyone’s spirits up.

It’s always a good to spend time with everyone and share a laugh or two.
