TYB InHouse Tournament

Leading up to the TYB In-House Tournament, everything was set in motion. Blinds structure and Payout has been determined. The tournament has a fixed number of players, 60. It was called an In-House tournament, this way it gave our own members the opportunity to play as well with the exception to the TYB Committee.

Tickets were all presold, and they did sell quickly not a ticket was left. It was a good afternoon with friends and family of TYB. Like all other poker games, this one had its moments of bad beats and strange calls.

It was an unusual feeling for most players to have a $100k starting stack. Some players were eliminated quite early and found themselves second-guessing their game strategy. For those who weren’t used to play this way, it was an eye opener and the competition thinned out dramatically by the first break.

Coming back from the second break, everyone who was still in the tourney had to re-adjust his or her game. People with small chip stacks had to play more aggressively in order to keep themselves in the tournament. As the blinds went up, players started to drop left and right. It wasn’t long till we reached the final table.

Surprisingly, the top 3 players were TYB members. 1st place went to Noseys Boss, who split pot with Gakua taking 2nd place and Nikko took out 3rd place rounding the top 3 places.

It was a successful day and enjoyed by all. We had some good feedback from the players that we will look to incorporate this to our up and coming TYB Tournament in August.
